In May of 2015, Bill Gates had a net worth of $79.3 billion. He has already given away $28 billion to charity and plans to give away all but $30 million. Gates and his wife Melinda will leave $10 million each to their three children.
Gates is the richest person in the world. The next richest person is telecom magnate Carlos Slim Helu with $77.1 billion, followed by investment guru Warren Buffett with $72.7 billion.
Gates made his massive fortune from the Microsoft Corporation, the software company he started with prep school classmate Paul Allen after dropping out of Harvard.

Speaking of movies, Time Warner is valued at $70.8 billion, $9 billion less than Bill Gates’ net worth. The company owns Warner Brothers and New Line Cinema and has been responsible for movies from Casablanca to the Harry Potter movies to the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit films. Other titles include The Jazz Singer, The Matrix, Superman, Batman, The Shining and Mad Max: Fury Road.
Beyond movies, Time Warner also owns HBO, Turner Broadcasting System and CNN. Time Warner is the second largest media company in the world. The only media company bigger than Time Warner is Disney.

The Dollar General company is valued at about $22 billion. At that rate, Bill Gates could buy it three times over and still have enough money left over to buy all the tickets sold to every Marvel movie made since 2008.
Dollar General has more than 11,500 stores in a total of 40 U.S. states. Most of its products cost more than a dollar. The chain frequently has outlets in areas too small to sustain a Walmart store. The company took in a total revenue of $16 billion in 2013.

Yum! Brands stock is worth nearly $40 billion. At that price, Bill Gates is worth twice as much.
Yum! Brands is the world’s biggest fast food restaurant firm, with over 41,000 restaurants in 125 countries. In 2014, the company pulled in $13 billion in revenue.

Bill Gates is worth more than the Target retailing corporation, which is valued at $50,88 billion. The Minnesota based company is the second biggest discount retailer in the U.S.
The company is #36 on the Fortune 500 list. It operates 1,934 stores across the United States and employs 366,000 people. It competes with Walmart and KMart by offering more upscale items. After many customers began referring to the chain of stores jokingly as “Targét,” the company embraced the joke and copyrighted the name, complete with French accent intact.
Bill Gates is Worth More Than Nintendo at $20.85 Billion
Nintendo’s stock is valued at a total of $20.85 billion. At that price, Bill Gates could buy the gaming giant almost four times over.
Originally founded as a playing card company in the late 1800s, Nintendo eventually became the world’s largest video game company by revenue. Once the third most valuable company in Japan, it has produced hit games like Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Tetris, Super Mario 64, Metroid and Pokemon.
