The last of the really good-paying grocery rebate apps, SavingsStar has replaced many of the printed coupons you used to clip from the weekly newspaper. This app works two different ways: Choose to scan your receipt to claim rebates or shop with your loyalty card at a number of chains to get instant credit to your account. SavingsStar also has a weekly special, crediting your account for a percentage of a category purchase. (Get 20% back on a healthy vegetable, for example.)

Get $1.00 – $5.00 back on each category you buy. Many of the deals require the purchase of multiple items to get your rebate. You cash out with as little as $5 earned.
